My name is Varun.
I am an Australian doctor, writer, and seeker.
Much of my life has been spent pursuing understanding. Through medicine, philosophy, psychology, spirituality, and lived experience, I have found myself returning to the same enduring questions: What is true? What is worth loving? How should one act? How does a person become less fragmented and more aligned?
Professionally, I work in medicine. Personally, I have spent years exploring contemplative traditions, philosophical inquiry, and the practical realities of work, relationships, meaning, and personal growth. Along the way, I have discovered that insight alone is rarely enough. Understanding must eventually be embodied.
Toward Alignment began as a collection of private notes and reflections. Over time, those notes evolved into essays. Not because I have arrived at definitive answers, but because writing remains one of the most effective ways I know to think honestly and clarify what I believe.
The essays collected here are explorations rather than conclusions. They sit somewhere between philosophy and autobiography, between intellectual inquiry and lived experience. My hope is not to persuade, but to investigate; not to teach, but to share the path as I have encountered it.
If any of these reflections help you think more clearly, love more deeply, or live more intentionally, then they have served their purpose.
